5th International Workshop on Oxide Surfaces (IWOX V)

Scott Chambers, Michael Henderson, and Chuck Peden, along with EMSL user Charles Campbell of the University of Washington, are chairing the 5th International Workshop on Oxide Surfaces (IWOX V) to be held January 7 - 12, 2007, in Lake Tahoe, California.

IWOX is the leading international forum for the presentation and discussion of cutting-edge basic research in the physics and chemistry of oxide surfaces. Areas of interest for IWOX-V include oxide surface structure and morphology and their relationship to thermal, catalytic and photocatalytic reactivity; dissolution at oxide/solution interfaces; oxide surface electronic structure and magnetic structure; oxides on metals; metals on oxides; and new approaches to oxide surface science.

Abstracts for this conference are due September 1, and registration begins September 11.
